HTC's Information Technology Program provides strategic and tactical management as well as investment-related advice to Houston-area entrepreneurs. Information Technology companies are based on any of following technologies but may sell their technologies into any vertical or horizontal market:

- Telecommunications
- Media
- Semiconductors
HTC helps entrepreneurs launch technology companies by providing them with in-depth business guidance and access to its network of investors, mentors and professional service firms. Our development staff works closely with technology community and investors to foster the growth of these businesses by identifying opportunities for entrepreneurial education, networking, investment, and promotion for these businesses.
While many HTC clients are new businesses, many young growth companies that are part of the community. HTC's network of entrepreneurs allows entrepreneurs to cross-collaborate and build relationships with each other, the HTC staff and its professional mentor network.
HTC's employs a staff of analysts as well as an external screening committee to help provide technical expertise and guidance in reviewing companies. All companies who apply are provided feedback and guidance in their business plans, regardless of whether they are accepted to the program.
